When Thomas Edison set about inventing the light bulb, he tried 1300 times before success.
Someone said to him, “It’s too bad you failed 1300 times.
Wise Edison replied, “I didn’t fail. I learned 1300 ways it didn’t work.”
I love this story. It tells in a few simple lines how to approach each chore with resilience, perseverance and confidence.
It made me look at my failures in life and see the lesson I learned from them.
